Each summer the Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) hosts a summer program that produces three fully realized musicals in three weeks. One for grades 2-5, one for grades 6-8, and one for High School. They hire four production heads to cover all production elements from scenic, to costumes, to lighting , and sound. It's a very crazy three weeks with rehearsals for the following week's show in the morning and tech for the current show in the afternoon. This process taught me a few things: How to work well with young kids, how to be quick, concise, and effective with programming, and how to work with various directors.
